The Wrongful Convictions Blog

Linked here, The Wrongful Convictions Blog has been up and running since 2012. The blog is run by The Center for the Global Study of Wrongful Conviction at the University of Cincinnati College of Law and lead by Director Mark Godsey.

The Wrongful Convictions Blog is incredibly thorough. One of the most interesting aspects of the blog is that it is written by multiple authors rather than just one. Though having multiple authors risks causing confusion, The Wrongful Convictions Blog makes sure that the authors of each post are clearly identified. Furthermore, along the left sidebar on the blog there are photographs of contributing editors as well as their titles. The collaboration between different authors is really interesting and adds a uniqueness to the blog.

The Wrongful Convictions Blog is not updated very regularly, about once a month or every other month. The posts, however, are timely and refer to current cases or events within the wrongful conviction community. For example, the most recent post, posted on June 15, 2019, is titled Amanda Knox Returns to Italy and was posted during Amanda Knox's recent return to Italy.

The blog is also broken down into categories that are linked on the right sidebar. Rather than a reader just looking at the most recent post, the sidebar of categories makes it easy to navigate and allows readers to explore the blog in its entirety.

Overall, I think that The Wrongful Convictions Blog is a great model for blogs and has really interesting and compelling information. I'll definitely be adding it to my reading list for future inspiration and research.
